Comet's Tail is a tasty but somewhat boring member of the Hangjiao Peppers that were originally bred in China after sending seeds into orbit to expose them to radiation and promote mutations for larger fruit, more fruit, and higher vitamin concentrations. Growing to 6-10" long typically, these peppers are similar in flavor to a cayenne and pack about the same heat. The ideal pheno has a little bit of a curved tail at the end of the fruit, which is where the name came from. These are often one of the first pepper plants in my garden to produce ripe peppers each summer.
